Danny Kaye(1913-1987) the legendary entertainer, was appointed UNICEF’s first Goodwill Ambassador in 1954. He received two honorary Oscars for his humanitarian work and in 1965 joined UNICEF’s official delegation in Oslo, Norway, when UNICEF received the Nobel Prize. He was remarkable not only for excellence in his profession, but for unparalleled intellectual, artistic, and humanitarian achievements.
Caryl M. Sternis the President and CEO of The U.S. Fund for UNICEF. Shejoined The U.S. Fund for UNICEF in 2006 and assumed her current position in May 2007. She is the author of I Believe in Zero: Learning from the World’s Children (St. Martin’s/2013). She has received numerous honors and recognition for her work on the boards of many nonprofit organizations and is married and lives in Queens, NY.
Scott Mowbray is a James Beard award-winning cookbook author-editor of “Cooking Light,” the nation's largest healthy-eating magazine. Mowbray has co-authored, The Unforgettable Photograph, with George Lange (2013, Workman/2013). He currently lives in Birmingham, Alabama. Kate Meyers has been a national magazine writer and editor for 25 years, currently based in Louisville, Colorado.
